Tuesday Night Television Wrap Up, Bionic Withdrawals

First, I regretfully must admit I was unable to stay awake long enough to watch The Bad Girls Club and The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency. Not only that, I forgot to record them. Oh, well. All weekend long both shows are rerun constantly throughout the days. So, no biggie. I’ll give me reviews shortly.
American Idol was typical, the same countless people trying out, and the same producers focusing heavily on the worst of auditions. A few people stood out as good talent, but not enough for me to remember them by name. Paula looked fabulous though! And, both she and the other judges appeared a bit nicer this season (except Randy and Paula’s uncontrollable laughter for one gentleman’s audition). I should mention, Paula’s performing at this year’s Super Bowl! This will be her first performance in nearly 20 years! And, she’s singing and dancing to a brand new song! Keep your eyes open, ya’ll! “Karma” anyone?
As far as Law & Order: SVU, the amazing Mariska Hargitay barely had five minutes on the show. So, what can I possibly say? The episode was entirely creepy - and may even give gays a bad name - granted Diane Neal’s A.D.A. Casey Novak (though I miss and greatly prefer Stephanie March’s A.D.A Alexandra Cabbot) and Christopher Meloni’s Det. Stabler gave excellent performances as usual. Oh, did I mention Rhea Perlman guest starred? She was AWESOME! Really a tough cookie, and different from her usual roles. I’ve seen a lot of her recently - and, no - not because of Cheers reruns!
All in all, I have to say it was a pretty dismal Tuesday night of my favorite television heroines and vixens. I hope next week has something more noteworthy to talk about.
Oh! Oh! Oh! I thought you should all know that I’m really starting to miss NBC’s The Bionic Woman. The UK-native, Michelle Ryan’s breakout performance as Jaime Sommers is worth keeping on your radars. She’s just amazingly talented, incredibly beautiful, and totally kick-ass! When on Earth is that show returning to TV? Oh, that’s right, once the strikers decide to dismount their mighty, high horses.
Much love and happiness,
